P2MESH: Programming Finite Element and Finite Volume Methods

Abstract

P2MESH was developed for the solution of partial differential equation in two dimensions on unstructured meshes. The library is a collection of C++ classes and iterators which allows to design and implement the data structures involved in Finite Element and Finite Volume methods.

Four different examples show the practical application of P2MESH to the development of numerical solvers for PDE problems.
